Quarantine during a pandemic is a must. The Pakistani Government has begun stamping the hands of the people who have been advised home quarantine in the wake of the coronavirus outbreak. Authorities are using indelible ink like that used for voters mostly on those who have a travel history. Most such people are not following the instructions given by the Government for quarantine.
People are not staying at home, running away from quarantine locations and creating more risk for other healthy people. To avoid such scenarios, we thought a real-time tracking facility for such quarantine patients will help the Government.
Governments use quarantines to stop the spread of contagious diseases. Quarantines are for people or groups who don’t have symptoms but were exposed to the sickness. A quarantine keeps them away from others so they don’t unknowingly infect anyone.
While isolation serves the same purpose as quarantine, it’s reserved for those who are already sick. It keeps infected people away from healthy people to prevent the sickness from spreading.
To stop the spread of the coronavirus, health officials have a recommended refrain: After being in a city or region where there have been a lot of COVID-19 cases, spend 14 days in quarantine even if you feel perfectly fine.
Our solution helps health officials in achieving this.
