- The staff has to scan the bar code with a reader and then get price and related information.
No way for the staff to monitor the number of interested customers that pick up and merely examine an item, without asking any information from any sales staff.
- Customers who are interrupted by the sales staff while they examine an item disturbs them and they end up not only not buying that particular item, they may not visit the store itself again because of “intrusiveness” of the sales person.This is really expensive for the store.
